Another terrific Thunderbird gathering at the Bayside
Sports Grille on beautiful Walled Lake. Although the weather looked iffy during
part of the day, it turned out to be a beautiful evening for the TBirds to have
a bite, a beverage, and bloviate with friends. Although we did get bumped from
the covered deck to the sunny side, it turned out to be a blessing with lots of
sun and a slight breeze. We were bumped by a bevy of lovely young ladies dressed
in their finest attire. It was a Wedding shower or baby shower.
If you’re going to get bumped, this is
the way to go. I did see several TBird males slink into the covered area to
strike up conversation with the ladies. No
doubt to encourage them to join our club. Considering the age difference, I
suspect that Jeff Thomas was the only TBird with a chance in H….well you get the
picture. Later in the evening, the ladies repaid the attention by feeding us
delicious cake left over from their celebration. So, thanks Jeff!
It was an evening with great weather, great food, a great selection of beer and
wine, and 65-75 great TBirds. Who could ask for anything more?
And thanks to night manager Lou-way and
his staff we got first dibs on the tables needed and all the chairs required to
seat us in comfort.
