Plymouth Whalers Game

The third Annual TBird Whaler Hockey Game and the third win.  Fifty-one club members and guests were entertained by a 3-2 win over the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds at the Compuware Arena in Plymouth.  Let me add that this was a surprising overtime win, seeing that the Whalers were out-shot on goal 24-49 ...  a very exciting game. 

          Dinner in the Hurricane room in the arena restaurant 'CJ Brewing Co.' was a pleasure this year.  All tabs were paid by 6:30 and we were in our seats for the pre-game show.  Last year you might remember the score was 2-0 before we were seated.

          The drawing for the beautiful bouquet of roses was won by Joanne Metz--you might remember that last year the bouquet was won by Diane Horan. What is it with the TBird Ladies winning the Roses?

          Also special thanks to Ron Glowzinski and Evelyn's Fitzgerald for co-hosting--.did they recognize I was on my fourth glass of Labbatt’s Ale and neglecting my duties?   Post-game socializing was continued in the Hurricane Room where the usual “What-trip-out-west-are-you-going-to?”  conversation continued.
