“Let’s get this party started” said Tammie Thelen and Darcy Coscione as they walked into the Friday Party to start off Carnival Weekend.  After a day of rain on Friday, the weekend turned into a great weekend with lots of skiing, games, laughing and hanging out with other TBirds, Skiwis and Summit (Fort Wayne) Club Members.   Saturday was filled with games and skiing, starting with the Slalom Race which Ron LaCasse won 1st.  Ron got some awesome glasses for taking 1st.  Then there was the shovel race where Myron Young won 1st for guys and Ellen won 1st for gals.   We were then off to the Penguin Races where we all just crawled to the finish, laughing all the way.  Next was a well deserved happy hour break.   After resting and getting beer nourishment, Myron competed in the Pitcher holding contest and he only missed first place by only nano-seconds.  We would like to nominate Bob Harris and Myron as recruitment chairs, since they had a bunch of under 30 year olds captivated in a drinking game.   Saturday ended with a fabulous banquet with prizes given out, then there was more dancing and hanging out with other T-Birds, Skiwis and Summit Club folks.  Unfortunately, there was no prize for best dress at the banquet or Fred Hebel would have won with his Lederhosen.  We all woke up Sunday to an absolutely fabulous sunny and awesome snow condition day.  It was like outwest conditions but with shorter runs.  Believe Jim Michon would agree, this was a ‘Wohelo’ weekend.

Gari and Renee Chaffin:  your hardwork to plan and coordinate this weekend was very much appreciated by all who attended and we missed you.  Also, we send our sympathies out to you for the loss of Renee’s father.
